THE Hills Ford Stages are hosting an Open Day event at Ledbury Rugby Club this weekend.
Taking place at Ledbury Rugby Club on Sunday, August 11, between 10am and 4pm visitors will be able to see an impressive line-up of cars.
Every visitor can get up close to and chat to the owners eager to share their passion and even offer gentle drives to sit in and the feel of being a co-driver.
Each car has its own unique story and the drivers have a long list of memories to share.
Highlights include Colin McRae’s 1994 RS Cosworth, which comes with an interesting history of parts, as well as specially made Minis and historic Ford Escort Mark 1s.
“These vehicles represent the pinnacle of motorsport,” said organisers in a statement.
“Our rescue and recovery teams will also be present, sharing their behind-the-scenes experiences and providing insight into their roles and showcasing another side to the world of a rally.”
For those aspiring to become a rally driver, or just to become a better driver on the road, Silverstone Rally School will be able to offer valuable insights into the skills needed.
“We are thrilled to have so many of our drivers and supporters of the rally joining us so we can give everyone a real insight into how a top level rally is run,” added organisers.
“Visitors will all get a chance to learn about all aspects of the world of rallying. Also, we will be highlighting all the opportunities available to get involved in this exhilarating sport.
“We warmly invite local residents to join us as marshals, helping to oversee their local stages, under the guidance of our marshals and stage commanders.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in the event and play a role in the rally. “
The Hills Ford Stages takes place on September 14 and 15.
