LEDBURY produced a rampant performance in their latest pre-season friendly at they beat higher-level opposition Ludlow by 46-5 at Ross Road.
The hosts drew in an entertaining contest with Monmouth RFC the week before but were on the winning side of the score board this time around with a comprehensive victory.
With the 2023/24 season fast approaching, Ledbury proved too good for Ludlow in front of a healthy home crowd.
A spokesperson from the club said: "Suffice to say it was a very encouraging encounter from our perspective.
"Our squad was significantly different to the previous week with a number of players absent at the likes of Boardmasters and Lakefest (summer holidays do still exist!!).
"It just goes to show we are developing significant strength in depth and to come out with a 46-5 win against a side that is in a league higher than us bodes very well for our forthcoming campaign for promotion in the 23-24 season."
This coming Saturday sees Ledbury welcome Bridgend Athletic (2.30PM KO), which should prove yet another strong workout for the squad.
