A Ledbury running club has taken part in a popular annual race for the first time since before the pandemic.
After a two-year hiatus because of Covid, Ledbury & District Harriers welcomed back the local Pendock Spring Chicken Race last Sunday (March 27).
Eight Harriers enjoyed the warm and sunny 10k multi-terrain race, which was a mix of undulating country lanes, farm yard tracks, fields and one hill that’s so much fun they make you do it twice.
Harriers were delighted not only to take home three age category prizes, but also proud that Chris Grubb was first over the line in 35:44, bagging himself a raw chicken and a box of eggs for his efforts.
Congratulations to Chris Grubb (1st place); Rob Kerr (1st MV60); Kate Green (1st FV55); and David Bannister (2nd MV40).
