IT has been a great week for Ledbury RFC Colts' George Knowles out in Italy.
The hooker scored for England U18 at the 2024 U18 Six Nations Festival out in Parma during his side's dramatic comeback win over Wales in round one.
England eventually won that game 36-35 to get their campaign off to the best possible start.
Tries from Knowles, Patrick Hogg, Connor Treacey, George Pearson and the boot of James Linegar, with the latter slotting home the game-winning conversion as the clock ticked into red, secured the dramatic victory at the Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi.
"We were extremely proud of the resilience shown by the entire squad to work back into the game and come away with the victory against Wales," said coach Jonathan Pendlebury at full-time.
"They all showed learning and understanding in managing a difficult period and it was fantastic to see the brotherhood on display.
Knowles then started for England in the clash against Scotland, which they won 28-6 to maintain their unbeaten start.
The U18 Men face-off against tournament newcomers Georgia on Sunday (7th April, 14:30 BST kick-off) to complete their 2024 U18 Men’s Six Nations Rugby Festival schedule.
As for the rest of the tournament, Georgia produced a stunning last-minute win over reigning champions France in round two and there were also victories for Wales over Portugal and Ireland over Italy.
The final round of games includes: Portugal vs Ireland, France vs Wales, Georgia vs England and Italy vs Scotland.
