IT was a memorable weekend for a number of Ledbury RFC youngsters at the weekend.

Five of the club's Under 14’s represented Herefordshire on Wednesday at the Midlands Rugby Academy Festival in Stourport.

Harry Embry, Griff Bubb, Conor Wyness, Max Seager and Tedders Maxted were involved on behalf of Ledbury.

Elsewhere, at the weekend, two Ledbury Colts players - George Knowles and Tom Roberts - both played for Midlands West Academy, helping them secure a 38-31 victory away vs Yorkshire Academy.

There was also a positive result coming from the Ledbury U15s on Sunday morning. They took on the Telford Hornets in the North Midlands Plate quarter-final fixture and won unconvincingly by 40 points to 17.

There was no first team action at the weekend as the league campaigns took a break.

Ledbury's first team are back on Saturday with a trip to Leamington in the Counties 1 Midlands West (South) as second plays third. Ledbury are 13 points clear of Leamington in the standings and will be looking to stretch that lead further.
