IT was like Christmas came early in Ledbury for readers and their children as the snow fell.

The downpour on Tuesday meant icy conditions on the roads, slush on foot, traffic chaos and cancellations to public transport services. 

Excited youngsters and adults decided to enjoy the snowy weather with picturesque walks, snowball fights and even a snowman or two. 

Trains to and from Ledbury were facing cancellation at a moment's notice after a collapsed tree blocked services between Worcester Foregate Street and Hereford.

Readers made the most of the snow and sent in pictures of their adventures.

Personal Trainer Nick Bolton didn't let the icy conditions get in the way of his job as he held his usual 6am fitness boot camp class when the snow was coming down. 

Kim Lauren took her children to build a snowman before they started school on Tuesday, while Lel Robson also built a frosty friend so it could give her daughter a hug before work.
