POLICE are investigating after a disused outbuilding was 'deliberately' set on fire at a residential address.
The fire happened in the early hours this morning (November 19) at an address in Ledbury in The Homend.
Firefighters informed police about the fire because they believed that it was started on purpose and police are now investigating the incident as arson.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "One crew from Ledbury Fire Station was called at 1.42am on November 19 to a fire in the open in The Homend, Ledbury.
"A fire in a disused outbuilding, around 10m by 4m, was extinguished using an extended hosereel jet.
"Police were asked to attend due to deliberate ignition.
"There were no casualties."
Police enquiries are continuing and nobody has been arrested.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "We were called by the fire service to The Homend in Ledbury at around 2.05am this morning (Tuesday 19 November), to a report of a fire in an outhouse at the back of a property.
"The incident has been recorded as arson not endangering life.
"Enquiries are on-going."
