YOUR report of further action in the residential development of land to the south of Ledbury demonstrates yet another error by Herefordshire Council planning authority.

It is undeniably correct that the site on the south of the A417 should be allocated for commercial development and not for a housing development.

The traffic advantages are overwhelming.

All vehicles would have an unhindered access to the M50 and the Ledbury bypass without any effect on the existing town.

There is a chronic shortage of sites which could provide employment and this is a unique opportunity to provide facilities which are needed desperately.

Modern industrial buildings contained in a landscaped area are not unattractive and environmental controls mean minimal interference.
