It’s hard to believe that Ledbury’s thriving Repair Café is already approaching five years of successful operation.
The Repair Café sessions are so popular, that all of the available time slots for this Saturday, November 2, are already fully booked.
Even if you’ve not been lucky enough to secure a repair slot for this month, you’re most welcome to pop in to Ledbury Community Hall between 10 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. to see the kind of repairs tackled by the talented team of volunteers.
While you’re there, why not sample some great value home-made cake with a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy the sociable atmosphere?
Booking for the final Repair Café session of the year on Saturday December 7 will open online from this Sunday November 3, so don’t delay if you want to be sure of having something fixed before Christmas.
Repair Café Ledbury takes a rest in January, before returning to celebrate its 5th anniversary on Saturday February 1.
Volunteer repairers regularly breath new life into portable household items of an electrical, mechanical or ceramic nature.
Sewing repairs and sharpening of small garden tools etc, are also very popular. There’s no fixed fee for the repair service, but visitors’ cash donations (or by card) are invited, to cover the costs of venue hire and consumables.
The very first Repair Café opened in 2009 in the Netherlands and will celebrate its 15th birthday this year.
This initial idea has spread to almost 3,300 Repair Cafés in more than 45 countries around the world.

Repair Café Ledbury holds ten Saturday morning sessions every year in Ledbury Community Hall, opposite the Halo swimming pool, adjacent to the handy Lawnside Road car park.
The doors open at 10 a.m. and the volunteer team ask you not to arrive before then, to allow them time to have everything all set up ready for you to enjoy.
