A HEREFORD mum wants to "scream and shout" about the benefits of weight loss after she transformed her life.

Carly O'Brien, 37, has lost eight and a half stone in just 15 months with Slimming World.

She was spurred on to lose the weight after she was told she was too overweight to have a hernia operation, and chose to join a local weight loss group.

Ms O'Brien started her journey in 2023, quickly gaining Slimming World titles like Miss Slinky, Greatest Loser, and Woman of the Year.

"I would love to share with everyone my success through Slimming World. Not only that, I would love to help others who feel like they are struggling with their weight," she said.

"I joined Slimming World due to being told I couldn't have an operation because I was overweight.

"In 15 months I have achieved Miss Slinky 2023, Greatest Loser 2024 and Woman of the Year 2024. Also, I have lost eight and a half stone. I have now been accepted for surgery due to a massive drop in body mass index."

Ms O'Brien's weight loss journey has inspired her to want to share Slimming World with as many local people as possible.

"I just want to scream and shout about Slimming World and the health benefits anyone can gain from joining," she said.

Slimming World is a weight management programme with community groups based around the UK for people who want to lose weight and become healthier.
