Several roads in the east of Herefordshire and in neighbouring counties are due to close this weekend to enable a major rally event.
The Hills Ford Stages kicks off with a “ceremonial start” in Ledbury this Saturday afternoon (September 14).
As a result the town’s High Street, between the junction with Top Cross and Bye Street, will be closed between 1 and 8pm, according to a road closure order granted by Herefordshire Council.

Race organisers say on Facebook the start will run from 3.15 to 6.15pm in the town.
An area around Castlemorton Common over the Worcestershire border will also be closed for two stages on the Saturday between noon and 6.15pm.
Then on the Sunday, several minor country roads will be closed at varying times between 5am and 8pm to allow ten more stages to be run on five circuits throughout the day.

These are in the Petty France area east of Bosbury, at Marcle Hill near Woolhope and at Hole-in-the-Wall by the river Wye north of Ross-on-Wye, as well as at Redmarley and Okle Green in Gloucestershire.
A spokesperson for the race organisers described it as “one of the top closed-road events in the country, with thousands of people involved, along with 130 cars from the historic to the latest generation”.
He urged those interested in watching the action to head for designated spectator areas where parking will be provided, as there will not otherwise be access to the race routes.
