AN ATTACKER has appeared in court after causing damage at a Herefordshire vape shop and assaulting a man.

Phillip Eckley went into CCR Vapes in Ross-on-Wye and destroyed a computer system, a monitor, a barcode scanner, a printer and various other items and supplies to the value of £729.94. He also assaulted another man, occasioning him actual bodily harm.

Eckley, 37, pleaded guilty to one count of assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm and one count of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000 when he appeared before Hereford magistrates on August 14.

He was remanded on unconditional bail to appear in court again on September 10 for sentencing.

A pre-sentence report was ordered to be prepared ahead of the hearing.
