LEDBURY Amateur Dramatics Society (LADS) are holding open auditions for their family pantomime.
It's panto season! Oh no it's not! Well, maybe not yet... but soon!
This winter, you'll be swept away to the land of Petite Derrière in Alex Jackson's Beauty and The Beast.
LADS are looking for talented performers of all ages (8+) to join them on stage at The Market Theatre in Ledbury to tell a tale as old as time.
All are welcome to join in auditions on September 22 to be part of a fantastic cast.
No experience needed, everyone is encouraged to come along, have fun, and be part of some good old fashioned panto silliness.
Children's chorus auditions are open for all children aged 8 to 17 and are 1pm-3pm on the 22nd September. Arrive prepared to take part in our dance, singing, and acting workshops with the fabulous production team.
Principal auditions are open to all aged 14+ and will start at 3pm on September 22. All wishing to audition for a principal role should take a look at the audition packs on the Market Theatre website (www.themarkettheatre.com/auditions) to learn the required singing audition pieces. Following the singing auditions, an acting workshop will take place from 4pm-5pm. Adults wishing to audition for a supporting or chorus role who do not wish to sing, should come along at 4pm to join in with the acting workshop
Hettie Guilding has returned for another year as LADS panto Director. She said: "I'm delighted to be directing my second pantomime for LADS, after last year's successful Robinson Crusoe and the Pirates. Having first appeared on the Ledbury stage in 1992, this will be my 34th pantomime with the society."
The LADS team are looking forward to seeing you all there.
If you cannot attend auditions but would like to be considered for a part, or if you’d like to know more about the production, please contact Director Hettie at hettieg@themarkettheatre.com or Co-Producer Katisha at katishaharris1997@gmail.com
