A WOMAN arrested following an assault at Upton Blues Festival remains on bail.
The assault left a woman with life-threatening injuries, although she has since been released from hospital.
The assault took place at around 7pm on Waterside on Sunday, July 21, during which a 56-year-old woman was pushed and fell, hitting her head on a steel pipe.
On July 26, a 22-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following the incident at Upton Blues Festival.
This woman has now been released on bail while enquiries continue.
The assault initially caused the woman's face to bleed but she was later taken to hospital with a life-threatening head injury.
Although she is out of the hospital, she will continue to receive ongoing care following the injury.
