FINDING things to do during the long summer holidays with the children can be daunting.

Whether it is taking children to their favourite sporting activity or simply entertaining them at home, it is never easy to find things to do.

In Ledbury a local organisation is providing the perfect way to start the holidays with an event for families at the Recreation Ground.

LEAF (Locally Encouraging all to Flourish) is getting the school summer holidays off to a great start by holding another of their ever-popular Family Fun Days, on the Recreation Ground, on Saturday July 20, 12.00 noon to 4.30 pm.

The theme is ‘It’s a Wonderful World’. The event will be run on a similar format to previous, starting with puppets and music, there will be crafts, including Rain Chains, Listening Sticks, Giant Banner Making and games etc.

There will be a BBQ at lunchtime with coffee, tea, cold drinks and delicious home-made cakes etc. being served during the afternoon.

The event, which is run by volunteers from across the Ledbury Churches, is free of charge, suitable for children of all ages; they must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, please contact Mary Anne Keyes on
