Herefordshire's nine-day half-term holiday is packed with family-friendly events.

There will be an array of unique experiences until schools go back on June 3, according to Visit Herefordshire.

This includes local festivals, woodland adventures, picnics, cooking sessions, climbing, farm visits, and even Viking games, luring both locals and visitors to stay and experience the fun.

The Hay Festival, held annually in Hay-on-Wye, stretches from May 23 to June 2.

Up for grabs are numerous attractions including, main talks, music events, free-to-enter festival site and various family events at the literary festival.

The 'HowTheLightGetsIn' festival from May 24 to 27 is a fusion of music and philosophy event on the banks of the River Wye billing itself as the UK's largest festival of this combination.

Ledbury Reporter: Brush up your culinary skills with a Woodland Outdoor Cooking Session at Queenswood Country Park

Experience a nostalgic day out at Eastnor Castle Steam & Vintage Weekend on May 26 and 27.

Less than three-miles from Ledbury, Eastnor Castle offers fun-filled features, including steam engines, vintage cars, giant garden games, model steam engine rides, a vintage carousel and dance workshops.
