AN open garden day in a village near Ledbury is to be used to help raise money for a new community shop.
Residents of Much Marcle in Ledbury plan to raise money that will go towards a new community shop to replace the former post office.
The old post office building was closed four years ago and has not been replaced, but villagers in Much Marcle have released details of its up and coming fundraising event.
Taking place on Sunday, May 19 in the village, there will be an open garden day where 10 gardens will be on display to ticket holders.
Six of the gardens will be showcased in the village, while another four will be on an outlying route that is six miles long.
Tickets for the event can be purchased from the village hall which start at £5 for adults.
