RESIDENTS of Ledbury laced up their trainers for the annual Mayor’s Mile.
People of all ages participated in the event on Sunday, April 14. They were aged from under six years to more than 80 years and they challenged themselves to walk or run the one-mile, three-mile or six-mile course around the town.
The Mayor of Ledbury, councillor Helen I’Anson, said: “It was a delight to see more than 70 people take part in this event and being blessed with the beautiful sunshine!”
More than £600 was raised at the event.
The Mayor said: “The funds raised will be equally split between my two chosen charities, Megan Baker House and Close House Projects and the Ledbury Swifts/Town FC.
“I would like to say a huge thank you to Steve Onions from Ledbury Swifts, who helped organise this event and a big thank you to the Ledbury Harriers Running Club for their support and all those who took part on the day.
“Lean on Ledbury!”
