SOME iconic images of Ledbury and the surrounding district in this week's Nostalgia section.
An old picture of the High Street in Ledbury shows No:5 High Street which was originally bought by G.A Suter draper in 1867 and this transferred to his son G.W.Suter on his father’s death in 1897. G.W.S retired in 1917 from Ledbury business and sold No:5 to J.T Walter’s in 1919
One of the pictures shows a lorry crashed into a building in Ledbury which was taken in the 1950s 0r 60s and we would like to find out more about it if anyone has any information. It was posted on the Ledbury Portal.
It was supplied by Paul Carter who regularly contributes to the Facebook group Old Ledbury who is appealing for information about the lorry crash.
If you know when and where the photograph was taken please email matthew.holmes@newsquest.co.uk and he will pass it on to Paul.
Similarly if you have any old photographs of Ledbury or the surrounding district please email Matt on the address above.
