Sir Bill Wiggin MP has backed the PCC's budget plans, such as improving emergency call response times.
The North Herefordshire MP has applauded the recent steps of West Mercia's police and crime commissioner (PCC), with measures that also include enhanced investigation technology and the presence of police in town centres.
He said: "I am particularly delighted that towns such as Leominster can expect more police officers on patrol.

“PCC John Campaign has successfully increased the number of police officers in West Mercia Police and there are now more officers on our streets than ever before.
"This shows that the Government is fulfilling its pledge to get 20,000 more officers on the streets through the Police Uplift Programme.
"In fact, West Mercia Police have exceeded their own targets and there has been an 11% fall in recorded crime."
As PCC elections approach, Wiggin commended the PCC for his "remarkable service" and his handling of the shot gun licence backlog.
