THE body of a woman found in a river in Herefordshire is believed to be that of a woman who was reported missing.
Emergency services recovered the body in Ross-on-Wye today (April 4).
A spokesperson for the police said that formal identification has not taken place, but the body is believed to be that of 68-year-old Theresa Harvey.
Ms Harvey was reported missing on Tuesday (April 2) and police had been searching for her.
The ambulance service confirmed that a body had been found in the water after emergency services rushed to the Rope Walk by the river in Ross-on-Wye.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said earlier today: "We were called by the fire service just after 10am to an incident in Ross-on-Wye.
"An ambulance, paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham and an ambulance from South Western Ambulance Service attended.
"We found a woman. Unfortunately, nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed deceased at the scene."
