A FABULOUS weekend has been held raising money for two local primary schools at The Royal Oak Much Marcle.
Hannah Slade of the Royal Oak said: "Our monthly family friendly quiz night was held on Friday (always the first Friday of the month and often themed, but this month was general knowledge). "With over 80 players, the pot was split in half so the winnings of £153 went to the ‘3 Amigos’ who chose to donate most of theirs to the Air Ambulance, and the other half was added to the the takings of our bar game ‘Open the Box’ and £193.40 donated to Much Marcle School.
"On Saturday, we hosted our regular Bright Nights Drag Queen Cabaret, this month with our fabulous ‘Fanny Burns’ and had been approached by Ledbury Primary School to turn it into a fundraiser, which, alongside our bar game ‘Open the Box’ and the raffle which their PTA ran on the night, raised £432.10.
"Our next Bright Nights has sold over 50% of the tickets for ‘Dixie Norm’ cabaret and bingo already.
"A fantastic weekend, with great support and a good pot of money raised for both schools."
