The following cases were heard at Worcester Magistrates Court on January 4.

 

LEE MORRISON, of Wells Road, Worcester, admitted criminal damage to property. 

The court heard the 48-year-old recklessly damaged an Audi A1 in Hampton Lovett on June 19 last year. 

Morrison was fined £256, ordered to pay costs of £135 and £102 victim surcharge. 

Morrison was ordered to pay the full amount, £493, in full before February 1. 

 

ELIZABETH THOMSON, of Rose Avenue, Tolladine, admitted criminal damage to property. 

The court heard the 61-year-old damaged clothing and other miscellaneous items to the value of £2,000 on July 11 in Worcester.

Magistrates made a compensation order, telling Thomson to pay the full amount of £2,000. 

Thomson was also ordered to pay £135 costs. 

Thomson was told to pay the full amount, £2,135, in full by February 1. 

 

LUKE MOULE, of Springfield Road, Worcester, admitted harassment without violence and criminal damage.

The court heard the 25-year-old pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a victim in Worcestershire on August 6 last year. 

The court heard the harassment of him included sending threatening messages and a video.

In the criminal damage offence, Moule damaged the glass door panel at Shakeeys Restaurant in Angel Street on December 7 last year.

Moule was given a 12-month community order including the requirement to complete 70 hours of unpaid work and 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days. 

Moule was ordered to pay £114 victim surcharge but no order for costs was made.

Moule was given a six-month restraining order which says he can not contact the victim either directly or indirectly. 

Moule was also ordered to pay £700 compensation to the restaurant and fined £373 for the criminal damage offence.

 

MARK WATERS, of Rose Bank, Evesham, admitted theft from a shop. 

The 44-year-old committed the offence of stealing cheese and meats, valued at £78, from the One Stop Shop in Evesham on June 28. 

Water was ordered to pay £78 compensation, and fined £40. 

No order for costs was made as magistrates decided to prioritise compensation.

 

JUDY MOSES, of Mabels Furlong, Ledbury, admitted three charges of assault by beating of an emergency worker. 

The 27-year-old assaulted two police officers and a paramedic in Worcester on October 14. 

Moses was given a one-year community order with 40 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

Moses was ordered to pay £150 compensation split between the three victims, and fined £120. 

Magistrates made no order for costs of victim surcharge, prioritising compensation due to Moses' lack of means. 

 

PAUL SUMNER, of no fixed abode, but who gave a care of address of Portefields Road, Worcester, admitted criminal damage to property. 

The 31-year-old caused the damage to a Nissan Micra on June 26 last year in Worcester, magistrates heard. 

No order for compensation was made as the court heard Sumner had already paid for the damage. 

Sumner was fined £246.

The defendant was also ordered to pay £135 costs and £98 victim surcharge. 

Sumner was told to pay the total amount of £479 before February 1. 

 

LYNDSAY HUNTLEY, of Mill Street, Evesham, admitted drink driving. 

The 18-year-old was caught driving a Peugeot on Cheltenham Road, Evesham on December 9 last year with 76 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit being 35mcg. 

Huntley was disqualified from driving for 20 months, which will be reduced by 20 weeks if a drink-drive awareness course is successfully completed. 

Huntley was also fined £173, and ordered to pay £135 coats and £69 victim surcharge. 

 

CALVIN SADLER, of Seward Road, Badsey near Evesham admitted drink driving. 

The 19-year-old was caught driving a Vauxhall Corsa on Bridge Street, Evesham on December 9 when he had 42 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit being 35mcg. 

Sadler was disqualified from driving for a year but was given the chance to reduce the ban length by three months if he successfully completes a drink-drive awareness course. 

He was also fined £80, ordered to pay £135 costs and £32 victim surcharge. 

 

NICHOLAS CHURCHILL, of Birchwood, Storridge, Malvern, admitted drink driving. 

The court heard the 53-year-old was caught drink driving a Land Rover Discovery in Cowleigh Bank, Malvern, on December 8. 

Churchill had 74 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit being 35mcg. 

The defendant was banned from driving for 18 months, which will be reduced by 18 weeks if he successfully completes a drink-drive awareness course. 

Churchill was fined £738, told to pay costs of £135 and victim surcharge of £295.
