Name of bride and groom (both maiden names and married names please)
Alexandra Blohm (maiden name) but now Alexandra Lewis and Richard Lewis
Where did the wedding take place?
Coddington Vineyard, Ledbury, HR8 1JJ
How did the couple meet?
They met each other at the gym as they both love to train and then matched on Bumble!
What are their jobs?
Rich is an International Marketing Manager and Alex is a Deputy Director
Was there anything special / peculiar about the wedding?
Alex's parents' dogs were at the ceremony which were super cute. They also served Joe's ice cream from Wales (which Rich grew up eating). He drove all the way to pick it up a few days before the wedding) It went down a real treat and was definitely worth the trip. Alex and Rich decided not to have a top table and went for long trestle tables instead which meant the dinner was very relaxed. Their cake toppers were mini versions of their cats. They asked guests to take Polaroid photos of them during the day and put them in the guest book during dinner.
They wanted the ceremony to be as personal as possible, so they wrote the script with their close friend, Kerri Morris, who is a celebrant and delivered the ceremony. This meant they were able to capture their story as a couple and it came together perfectly.
Alex's brother (Arcanum Photography) filmed the entire day and compiled the footage into a video. They loved being able to see the day from a guest's perspective and meant a lot that her brother was capturing the special moments.
They wanted to create maximum impact while on a budget. One of the ways they did this was through colours and flowers - everything was bright! They saved money by using a local flower farmer (Little Flower Farm in Malvern), with single stems on tables, rather than big arrangements. The florist did an amazing job on all of the bouquets, especially the brides.
Coddington Vineyard is a blank slate venue, so they researched all suppliers and brought them together with Kelly Anne Weddings to make sure everything worked logistically. Although the couple were on a budget, they said they prioritised hiring Kelly Anne to make sure everything ran smoothly so they could enjoy the day, worry-free.
The vineyard was beautiful at golden hour (unusual to find a vineyard in the U.K.)
