Severn Trent has outlined some guidelines to facilitate lower bills in this winter's cold snap.
The water company highlighted water habits which may escalate costs as households crank up their heating.
Practical measures such as reducing shower time, only running the dishwasher when fully loaded and switching off taps when brushing teeth were cited.
The company also provide a range of no-cost support methods to aid customers.
Sophie Evans-Young, customer demand lead at Severn Trent, said: "Customers could see a saving on their water bills, just by taking a few really simple steps to reduce their water use."
