DO you enjoy Ledbury Carnival every year?
The fun community event is approaching its Golden Anniversary and celebrating 50 years of bringing a bit of fun to the town.
But it needs help - with the organisation and on the day.
Ledbury Carnival Association will be holding its AGM on Wednesday 8th November at 7pm at Ledbury Methodist Church in Bye Street.
We are urgently seeking new Committee Members, and particularly a new Secretary, to help with the planning for our 50th event in August 2024.
The committee is a diverse group of people from different backgrounds and of all ages.
Age nor work experience is no bar to joining us, with retired senior NHS electrician and a Personal Assistant in a large local business to a lorry driver and former Post Office Clerk.
An ability to work as a team and a love of Carnival is all that is needed.
New ideas, age groups and backgrounds will be welcomed and can bring fresh ideas to the plans. We are currently a small committee which needs an injection of new blood and ideas.
As we approach our 50th consecutive carnival in 2024 we want to make next year extra special for the town and its community. Ledbury Carnival is probably the most popular community event in Ledbury’s Social Calendar bringing pleasure to young and old alike.
If you feel you would like to join us, or are interested and wish to speak to us and discuss please email us at contactus@ledburycarnival.co.uk and we can call you back and give you more information.
Remember, Carnival needs a strong and willing group of people to steer our 50th Carnival towards another great success
