AN actor who has appeared in Coronation Street arrived in style yesterday (Thursday) to have lunch at a Herefordshire pub.
Craig Charles, who played Lloyd Mullaney in the ITV1 soap for 10 years from 2005 to 2015, flew in by helicopter to the Oak Inn at Staplow.
However, despite his swish entry, the Liverpudlian - who is also known for playing Dave Lister in sci-fi hit, Red Dwarf, chosen to just have sausage, chips and gravy, which is usually sausage and mash on the menu.
It was rustled up by chef Jason Henderson, who is a big fan of the actor from his Red Dwarf days.

The country pub, near Ledbury, are now hopeful that the actor will play a DJ set at their venue in the near future.
Craig has been involved in music since the 1980s and regularly plays sets as part of his Funk & Soul Club.
And people in Hereford will be able to hear his tunes when he will be playing at the Hereford Indie Food festival over the Bank Holiday weekend (August 26 to 28).

Meanwhile, the Oak Inn will be holding a fundraiser in aid of We are Farming Minds on Sunday, August 20.
As well as traditional pub grub being served until 7.30pm, there will be a 'Kelsmor Dairy' ice cream fan, a Ledbury Ales showcase, live music from Pippa Langhorne and Lee Owen, a a Pughs live auction. Tickets are £5 which includes a meat draw entry.
