HARDY runners from Ledbury and District Harriers braved the rain to take on a cross country race at Westons in Much Marcle.
The athletes wound their way around the orchards in Much Marcle for another great fun evening at Westons.
“We’re really pleased to be a part of Hereford XC’s league 2023 summer racing locations.
"Welcoming the runners and their supporters to Westons and after the event, enjoying a refreshing Stowford’s Press together is a great way to spend an evening.
"I’m sure running through our variety of orchards makes for some fun and challenging terrain!
"Thanks to the organisers and marshals for bringing such a great event to the cider mill.”
Ledbury District Harriers is an established running club, founded in 2001.
They meet every Tuesday evening at Ledbury Rugby club for a 6.45pm run, and regularly on a Thursday evening for an effort, speed or hill session. Other runs and parkrun meet ups are often organised by members during the week via their Facebook group.
They run every week whatever the weather. During the Autumn and Winter months their routes are mainly based around the town, but in Spring and Summer they explore the lanes, fields and hills around Ledbury.
Being based in Ledbury they are lucky to have the Eastnor Estate and the beautiful Malvern Hills right on their doorstep and regularly head to these locations for a run. They are also very privileged to be able to host their annual race The Magnificent Eastnor Castle 7 within the grounds of the Eastnor Estate.
