One of the RAF’s most iconic planes has been spotted flying above Ledbury.
The Lancaster Bomber flew over the town on Sunday afternoon (July 16) on its way to a flyover at Munsley Church, where a private memorial event was taking place.
Olivia Kelly shot this video of the plane flying over her parents’ house in Munsley.
“The man they were flying for used to live there,” she said. “It was fantastic.”
Others spotted the plane flying over Ledbury, bringing former RAF navigator Stuart Heaton to mind.
Mr Heaton used to fly on Lancaster Bombers and also funded the first restoration of Ledbury War Memorial.
A second refurbishment of the High Street monument started last week.
We'll have more details on the memorial event, soon.
