Eastnor are Champions at Ledbury RFC Schools Tag Rugby Festival 2023
On Friday, May 19, the two teams from Eastnor Parochial Primary School joined 32 other tag rugby teams from all over the county at Ledbury RFC to take part in the annual Tag Rugby Festival, sponsored by Weston’s Visitor Centre.
In sunny conditions, spirits were high all day and 320 primary school pupils competed. The Eastnor Stags won all of their games in the morning and so went into the cup pool.
The Eastnor Kites won one and lost two (both by one try!) and went through to the trophy pool. The Stags were crowned Cup Champions after three further wins against local schools.
The Kites won all of their games and were crowned Trophy Champions.
All participants from Eastnor felt honoured to be part of such a special day of sport made possible by members at Ledbury RFC.
The festival will take place again next year on Friday, 17th May. Any schools who wish to receive an invitation should email events@ledburyrfc.co.uk.
