A Double-Bill Film Evening in aid of St Michael’s Hospice.
Organised by The Hospice Angels 2002 and 2006 (UK – U) on Wednesday May 24 at 7:30pm
Frank’s Journey:
Frank the horse, accompanied by Mick Pullin BEM and the late Mike Marshall, left Ledbury’s Market House in September 2002, raising funds for the Hospice via a bucket dangled from the rear of the trap, giving a BBC live broadcast en route to Hyde Park Corner; and returning with a magnificent haul of £12,500.
The Hospice Angels Visit Strömstad, Sweden
In August 2006, six Hospice Angels motorcyclists set off from the Market House for Ledbury’s Swedish twin town to raise funds for the hospice.
The group was were made very welcome, meeting many local people and given lunch with the Mayor; before a very wet journey home, a warm welcome in The Talbot, and an opportunity to count the £10,000 funds raised along the way.
There will be an interval between the two films
To date The Angels have raised £647,450 for St Michael’s Hospice.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Hospice by The Market Theatre and LADS.
