A Ledbury running event held for the first time since before the pandemic has raised hundreds of pounds for charity.
The Mayor’s Mile saw runners take on their choice of one, three or six-mile distances, starting at the Market House and finishing by St Katherine’s Hall in the High Street.
There were more than 50 runners and walkers aged from six to 76, and ranging from top class local athletes to those using the occasion to also walk their dogs.
Many of the entrants were sponsored, with one woman raising £200 on her own.

Funds were raised from a combination of sponsorship, entry fees, and a raffle and these will be divided between the Ledbury Swifts Football Club who largely organised the event with help from Ledbury Town Council staff, and the Mayor’s charity for the year, Strong Young Minds.
The Swifts also provided most of the marshals to help the participants around their choice of distance options.
Mayor Phillip Howells would like to thank the Swifts, Ledbury Town Council staff, all who took part and local companies who provided raffle prizes - Isaacs Linens, Jardinopia, Monkley’s Furniture and Tesco’s - for making the occasion a real community celebration.
