A woman left with ‘potentially serious' injuries after crashing into a tree.
West Midlands Ambulance Service rushed a woman in her 40s to Hereford County Hospital following a crash in Bromyard last night.
At around 8.30pm a car crashed into a tree on Tenbury Road, leaving the woman trapped in the vehicle.
Two Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from the Bromyard station had to remove the entire roof of the car to free her before she was taken into the care of ambulance personnel.
A spokesperson for WMAS said: “We were called at 8.27pm to reports of an RTC on Tenbury Road in Bromyard.
“An ambulance and paramedic officer were sent to the scene where, on arrival, they discovered one car had been in a collision with a tree and there was one patient, a woman.
“She was treated for potentially serious injuries by ambulance staff before being taken to Hereford County Hospital for further treatment.”
West Mercia Police were also at the scene, with Tenbury Road needing to be closed while rescue operations got underway.
A spokesperson for the force added: “At around 8.30pm 1 February Police responded to a one vehicle collision on the Tenbury Road, Bromyard.
“One lady in her 40s was trapped in the car and was helped from the car by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service before being handed over to the care of West Midlands Ambulance Service.
“The lady was taken to Hereford hospital. The road was re-opened at around 10.45pm.”
