A HEREFORD man has been sent to the crown court accused of multiple rapes and making threats to kill.
Abdolhamid Shalhavizadeh appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster in January accused of one count of making threats to kill and four counts of rape.
The court heard from prosecutor Shawn Williams that the 35-year-old is accused of raping a woman aged 16 or over in Hereford between November 30, 2019, and January 1, 2020, between September 11, 2020, and December 31, 2021, between September 11, 2020, and September 10, 2021, and between December 31, 2021, and November 6, 2022.

He is also accused of, without lawful excuse, making a threat to kill a woman in Hereford on November 6, intending her to believe that the threat would be carried out.
The case was sent to the crown court for trial and Shalhavizadeh, who is of Daws Road in Hereford, was remanded in custody ahead of his next hearing.
He will appear before Worcester Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on February 20.
