A LEDBURY lorry driver has been banned from the roads for more than two years after he was caught out while almost three times the drink-drive limit.
Anatolis Zaicegs appeared before magistrates in Northampton for sentencing after entering a guilty plea to one count of driving while over the alcohol limit at an earlier hearing in November.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 57-year-old defendant had been caught out behind the wheel of a heavy goods vehicle while over the drink-drive limit on Upton Valley Way East in Northampton on November 23.

An evidential breath test revealed that Zaicegs had 103 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, nearly three times the limit of 35 microgrammes.
Zaicegs, who is of Robinsons Meadow, was handed an 18-month community order with 150 hours of unpaid work, and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 28 months.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £114 victim surcharge.
