CONCRETE bollards have been used to block a Herefordshire road which has been closed to drivers for months.
The Stoke Edith road linking the A438 Ledbury road and A4103 Worcester road east of Hereford has been closed since at least November 18.
There had been bridge works set to take place from September 5 for three weeks with the road closed, but then the road has remained closed since at least the middle of the November.

It appears the bridge over the Hereford to Ledbury railway line has been damaged, with road closed signs at either end of the road – but before the bridge, concrete blocks have been put across the road.
Herefordshire Council's online roadworks map shows the current closure for the C1148 came into force at 1pm on November 18 and runs to January 27 at 11.59pm.
It says Network Rail is responsible for the works and the reason for the closure is "Network Rail street works".

But the Hereford Times first approached Network Rail for comment on December 19 and it has so far failed to respond to the questions.
It is understood that when the closure first came into force the concrete blocks were not in situ, but were put into place after a number of weeks.
This could be related to drivers using the road while it was closed, but with Network Rail not responding, it is not confirmed.
