Midwives and parents have celebrated the first babies to be born at Hereford County Hospital in 2023.
The first baby born on New Year's Day was a boy weighing 7lb 4oz, called Finley.
He was born to mum Charlie Evans and dad Aled Weale, shortly before 5am on January 1.

The team of hospital midwives and new parents welcomed two girls and three boys on this special day and each baby received a bauble and a hat from the maternity team, to celebrate their arrival.
Lily, weighing 6lb and 10oz was born at 10.40am to mum Zoe Harris and dad Declan Collins.
Another of the five happy families were Alice Crowther and Quaide Bundy who welcomed Logan at 10.07am weighing 8lb and 15oz.

Amie Symes, associate director of midwifery at the Wye Valley NHS Trust (WVT), which runs the hospital, said: “It’s wonderful for our midwives to be able to celebrate with the proud parents the arrival of the first babies born at Hereford County Hospital this New Year 2023."

She added: “Every baby is a blessing and babies born at this time of the year have very special birthdays. It was lovely to present the family with the bauble and hat for their baby.
“Our dedicated and experienced teams are here to help and support expectant mothers, parents and their new babies both in hospital and at home.
"Our community midwifery and health visiting teams continue to provide specialist support when parents and their babies are discharged from hospital, which includes help and advice on infant feeding and caring for your baby.
“From all of the maternity team at WVT, we wish the families of all babies born both on 1 January and throughout the year, a very Happy New Year.”
