A DRINK-DRIVER has been banned from the roads after a night out at the pub.
Adrian Kingstree entered a guilty plea to one count of drink-driving when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in December.
Police had been made aware that Kingstree had been driving while intoxicated in Bishops Frome, Herefordshire, at 10pm on December 1, prosecutor Eleanor Peart said.
They went to his home and asked him to take a breath test, which he failed, the court heard.
An evidential breath test taken in custody revealed he had 48 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal driving limit is 35 microgrammes.

Chris Read, for Kingstree, said the 45-year-old had gone out to the pub for the evening on the day in question.
"He had been going through some extremely stressful situations at home," he said.
"He had gone out and drunk alcohol and did not believe he would be over the limit. He was at home when police arrived, so there is no suggestion that his driving was a concern, and he cooperated with officers at the police station."
Kingstree, who is of Uplands, Ledbury, was fined £120 and disqualified from driving for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a £48 victim surcharge.
