Shoppers in Hereford this Christmas will be greeted by a sea of Santas as a popular festive run returns.
A flurry of bookings for the St Michael’s Hospice Santa Run on Sunday, December 18 means just a handful of places remain.
The annual run is organised by St Michael’s Hospice and sees Santas of all ages attempt either a 2.5K or 5K run around the city.
“We’re delighted that so many Santas have signed up to join us for this year’s Santa Run,” said Matt Ashcroft, the Hospice’s events and community fundraising manager.
“There’s still time though to join them and make the most of this feel-good event which never fails to put a smile on the face of those you pass.”
This year’s event is sponsored by MandM Direct.
“We are really proud and excited to support this fantastic festive event and we look forward to joining all the Santas on the day,” said MandM Direct.
The Santa Run is open to all, with participants able to walk, jog or run the route.
Everyone taking part will receive a Santa suit and a Santa Run medal upon completion.
Over the years, this popular event has raised thousands of pounds for St Michael’s Hospice.
The charity, based in Bartestree, provides free-of-charge palliative and end-of-life care to those in Herefordshire and beyond, as well as support to loved ones.
