A HEREFORDSHIRE primary school has announced the death of their much-loved school pet.
Ledbury Primary School said that it was with great sadness that they had to announce the sudden and tragic death of their beautiful school dog, Bailey.
A letter has been sent to families explaining what has happened, a school spokesperson said.
The school said Bailey has been a "huge part" of their community since 2016, when he was introduced as a school dog by his owner Mrs Haines (formerly Mrs Goodman).

"Bailey has helped so many children in our school overcome their fear of dogs and taught children how to engage with dogs in a safe manner," a school spokesperson said.
"Our thoughts and love are with Bailey's home family as they come to terms with losing such a beautiful family pet. He will be missed by us all."
