A butchers is to rename a popular product to show support for the people of Ukraine.
Legges of Bromyard, in Tenbury Road, has changed the name of its chicken kievs to match the Ukrainian spelling of capital city Kyiv, in the wake of the Russian invasion.
The butchers, which has shops in Bromyard and in Hereford, also intends to donate all the profits from each of its rebranded kievs sold during this time.
All profits from the sale of the rebranded chicken kyivs will be donated to the Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund.
The announcement follows Sainsbury's news that it would also be rebranding its range of kievs, and supermarkets including Aldi, Morrisons, Waitrose, and Co-op removing Russian products such as Russian standard vodka from their shelves.
Tesco has also said it will no longer buy products from businesses that are wholly Russian owned.
Owner Anthony Legge said: "It was amazing the response the initiative got straight away. Regulars have been coming in specifically for the chicken kyiv after seeing our announcement on social media."
Mr Legge has been discussing the crisis with customers all week and thought that if he could help, even in a small way, then he should try.
He said: "We've all felt so helpless watching the news this week and I thought to myself that we have to do something to show our support, no matter how small. It's just a little gesture to show solidarity."
