A Ledbury running club has been celebrating some great results in this season’s Herefordshire & Borders Cross Country League.
Ledbury & District Harriers took part in the final race of the winter season earlier this month at Nash Wood, Presteigne, a tough two-lap course with over 900m of elevation and a lot of mud.
Men and women run the same distance at all races and need to finish at least three out of five races to qualify for the series.
Teams consist of the first four men and the first four women for each club, with prizes awarded to the first three teams plus age category prizes.
The awards ceremony for the series took place after the event, and the Harriers were delighted to pick up three age category prizes.
Ledbury’s winners were Chris Grubb (2nd overall MV40), David Bannister (2nd MV45) and Kate Green (1st place FV55).
