Film mornings return to Ledbury’s Market Theatre next week for the first time in more than a year.
The screenings usually take place on the second Wednesday of the month, starting at 10.30am and are preceded by a free cup of coffee.
Next Wednesday (February 9) at 10.30am, the theatre will be showing Military Wives, which stars Kristin Scott Thomas and Sharon Horgan, and is inspired by the true story of Gareth Malone’s choir of military wives.
On March 9, the Wednesday film will be Pablo Larraín’s Spencer, which stars Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana.
Other films coming up at the Market Theatre include Minari on February 11, The Kite Runner on February 15 and The Personal History of David Copperfield on February 25.
On Saturday March 5, the theatre hosts a day-long study of westerns. The morning will feature an examination of Sergio Leone’s Once Upon a Time in the West, including clips of some of the films it references, notably High Noon, The Searchers and Shane.
In the afternoon, Michael Cimono’s epic Heaven’s Gate will be shown. This is the digitally restored version made for the 2012 Venice Film Festival.
