A Ledbury musician has been chosen as a finalist by Grammy, Emmy, CMA and Brit award winning judges in a national competition.
The town's up and coming rock star and former BBC Introducing 'Artist of the Week' Sebastian 'Bastie' Ingram has been noticed by the gold and platinum album producers and artists on a judging panel for his song 'Trouble'.
The UK Songwriting Contest is renowned for being one of the world's longest running and most popular international song writing events that draws in over 10,000 song entries each year.
Bastie recorded the song in September last year with producer Nick Brine, who produced on Oasis and Arctic Monkeys records in the past.
'Trouble' describes being led astray by a partner that isn't necessarily good for you.
Bastie said: "The song is jazz enthused, upbeat and a bit raunchy."
Commenting on Bastie's sound, Hot Press Magazine said: "The only way is up for the English talent. Hot Press are certainly excited to see what indie-pop anthems he emerges with next."
Bastie has also had over 140 airplays from Amazing Radio and can be seen gigging in Herefordshire at venues that include Lupa and De Koffie Pot.
The competition winner will be announced later this month and 'Trouble' will be released on all music platforms soon.
