PLANS to build 93 new homes on Ledbury’s old cricket ground are being hampered by a shortage of building materials.
An application has been submitted to Herefordshire County Council’s Planning Services to make “a non-material amendment” to a planning application granted in 2019. It requests “changes to materials due to lack of supply”.
It continues: “Lack of supply of materials with extensive lead in times during the current climate. The proposed changes are required to allow production on site.”
The application for the amendment includes several photographs of brick walls, showing how previously approved materials would be replaced by closely matching alternatives.
The site behind the Full Pitcher on New Road is almost seven acres. Six of the new homes will be single bedroom, with the rest about evenly divided between two and three-bedroom houses.
A decision on the application is expected next month. Further details can be viewed on the council’s website at herefordshire.gov.uk.
