A LEDBURY retirement complex has marked the appointment of a new manager with a party to celebrate the hard work of staff during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Lauren Nelson-Jones has taken the helm at the Shaw Healthcare-operated Leadon Bank, which provides apartments for residents who require care while still able to enjoy their independence.
Ms Nelson-Jones’ appointment was marked with a party attended by Herefordshire Council chairman Sebastian Bowen and Mayor of Ledbury Andy Manns, as well as Shaw Healthcare bosses, with staff presented with a recognition certificate and sweet treats.
In addition, staff and residents were treated to afternoon tea and disco entertainment.
Ms Nelson-Jones said: “Having joined the Shaw Healthcare family in 2015, I know just how important the welfare of our residents is to everyone who works here.
“With this dedication comes selflessness, and throughout the pandemic we’ve seen this in droves from each and everyone at the home.
“That’s why it was so important for us to put on a party not just for the residents to enjoy, but to celebrate everyone who has worked so hard to keep those we care for safe.”
Leadon Bank comprises of 54 one and two bedroomed extra care apartments for sale or to rent to people aged over 55.
