ORGANISERS of the Ledbury Poetry Festival are preparing for their first in-person meeting since the pandemic made get-togethers impossible.
Current and potential volunteers are invited to the event at the Barrett Browning Institute on Monday, October 11, at 6pm. There will be a second online meeting via Zoom on the following Monday, again at 6pm.
Festival director Chloe Garner said: “We have missed our volunteers at the last two editions of Ledbury Poetry Festival. Therefore it seems vitally necessary for the Festival to reach out and reconnect.
“Without volunteers the Festival could not exist. From year-round office support, to stewarding, event managing, hospitality. Volunteers have enabled the Festival to grow and thrive.
“The pandemic has opened up new possibilities, including remote working, and online events and workshops. Therefore, the ways you can help the Festival have also expanded!”
To sign up for the meetings, email director@poetry-festival.co.uk.
Meanwhile, the festival is seeking a paid financial administrator for two days a week at £11 per hour. Visit poetry-festival.co.uk or call 01531 634156 for details.
