A HEREFORDSHIRE care home group is celebrating after being rated as one of the top 20 in the country.
Herefordshire Care Homes was named one of the country's best in the 2021 carehome.co.uk awards, while the group's Highwell House in Bromyard was also rated in the West Midlands' top 20.
Home manager Trudi Barnett said: "It is a fabulous achievement. Winning this award which is based on the reviews from families and friends of residents who have used our service makes it all the more special. They have first hand experience of knowing just what life is like at Highwell House.
"We work hard every day as a team to ensure a warm, friendly, safe and exciting place to live. I remain immensely proud of our achievements.
Group managing director Karen Rogers said: "We are so thrilled. This is an amazing accolade.
"This award is extremely special because winning care home groups are decided by over 40,000 reviews from residents as well as their families and friends.
"All our homes judge performance on the reviews of our residents and their relatives. We are always asking for feedback from the people who live with us ‘lived experience’’ is our highest priority."
