STUDENTS of the John Masefield High School in Ledbury have been praised for their outstanding response to home testing for Covid.
Head teacher, Andy Evans said: "Following 99 per cent of our students taking three COVID-19 tests in school, we are delighted that the vast majority have continued to take two tests per week at home. We thank them for making such an important contribution to keeping our community safe."
Students have been home-testing over Easter, and this will continue during term time, with two tests a week.
Mr Evans, in a newsletter to parents and carers said: "If a positive result is received, the household will need to self-isolate and they should also immediately inform the school by either phoning reception or emailing the school.
"We will need to identify close contacts and ask them to self-isolate."
The school is also advising that all members "of a household, childcare bubble or support bubble" should self-test.
