LEDBURY-BASED painter Tony Coppin set to work in Gaynan’s the Jewellers, The Homend, to paint scenes of the First World War.
The project was to commemorate the centenary anniversary of Britain entering the conflict.
But the Bridge Street artist, is no stranger to working with Gaynans.
Last year, he revealed he was so impressed by the shop's annual Battle of Britain Day window displays, he presented the jewellers with a special picture, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Spitfire fighter aircraft.
This time round, it is the First World War that has inspired Mr Coppin, a former worker at Royal Worcester Porcelain, to turn his mind to another display
Mr Coppin, who has had a passion for painting since school days, said of his latest project: "My grandad was an inspiration to me as he was serving in the first wave of duty in the Somme, in 1916."
